Oxygen Therapy

Our Oxygen Therapy course is designed to equip healthcare providers and emergency responders with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to assess the need for oxygen, assemble and operate oxygen equipment, and deliver care using the appropriate delivery device.

This course can be taken as a stand-alone program or combined with Basic Life Support (BLS) for a comprehensive emergency response training session.

Who Should Take This Course?

Recommended for:

  • In-facility care providers (nurses, care aides, dental and medical professionals)

  • Pre-hospital responders (firefighters, ski patrol, lifeguards, SCUBA teams, rescue personnel, and sports therapists)

Course Duration

  • Stand-alone course: 1–2 hours

  • Combined with BLS: 1 hour

  • Recertification: Not available

​What You’ll Learn

Through instructor-led demonstrations and practical skill application, participants will gain a clear understanding of:

  • Pulse oximetry and when oxygen therapy is needed

  • Safe use of oxygen cylinders and regulators

  • Selection and use of oxygen delivery devices

  • Procedures for administering supplemental oxygen

  • Equipment handling and safety protocols

Certification Details

  • Certification: 3-year Oxygen Therapy certification (digital certificate issued upon completion)

  • Prerequisites: None

  • Completion Requirements:

    • 100% attendance and participation

    • Successful demonstration of all skills

    • Minimum 75% on written, closed-book exam
