Standard First Aid & CPR

Our Standard First Aid & CPR course is a two-day certification program designed for individuals who need to meet workplace safety requirements or want the confidence to respond in emergencies at home, work, or in the community. This course covers CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants, and is aligned with provincial regulations and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) guidelines for intermediate first aid.

This course is ideal for:

  • Workplace safety compliance (CSA Intermediate Level)

Course Duration Options

Standard First Aid & CPR Level A

  • 13 hours in-class

  • OR 7 hours in-class + 8 hours online (blended)

​

Standard First Aid & CPR Level C

  • 14 hours in-class

  • OR 7 hours in-class + 8 hours online (blended)

​

Recertification

  • Level A: 7 hours in-class

  • Level C: 7.5 hours in-class

​What You’ll Learn

  • How to assess an emergency and respond with confidence

  • Airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies

  • CPR and AED for adults (Level A) or all ages (Level C)

  • Wound care, bleeding control, and shock management

  • Head, spinal, bone, and joint injuries

  • Medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, diabetic and seizure-related incidents

  • Environmental emergencies and opioid poisoning awareness

  • Content aligned with regional legislative requirements and CSA guidelines

Certification Details

  • Certification: 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR (Level A or C), and AED

  • Prerequisites: None

  • Completion Requirements:

    • 100% attendance and participation

    • Demonstrate all critical skills

    • Minimum 75% on written evaluation
